First PnP Mission in the books!
I got a call Thursday from Karon Stewart of Eskie Rescuers United. She was putting together a flight from Florida to Houston for New Horizons Service Dogs. She asked me if I could do the 4th leg from Lake Charles to Houston. Of course I can but the weather is not looking very good for Saturday. We agreed to give a shot and the flight was booked. The first 3 pilots got as far as Hammond, LA. The 3rd pilot Russell Butz kept the dog "Spruce" over night at his house and we agreed to continue on Sunday morning. I got up first thing Sunday morning to great weather so my wife Kim and I blasted for Jennings, LA. I told Russell I would go farther since RV speed can make better distance. We made it in just under 1.5 hours with some slight deviations for airspace.
Spruce was a awesome passenger. We are looking forward to more of these trips. I can see what everyone is talking about now. |
Good job!

Flyboys Supertracks? I would guess makes loading the big boy easier. Congratulations on a good job.

I love PNP: http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/
What did you do to the RV for canine comfort / safety? Big bog bed in the baggage area? Did you attach a leash / harness to anything? Great pics! |
