Strobe Wiring

I was planning to wire everything from each wing to sealed connectors at the wing root, so I can just "plug and play" when I mount the wings for good.

My question is about the shielded three conductor cable for the Whelen strobes. What is the right way to handle the shield? Is it correct to allocate 4 connector pins, three for the power and trigger (red,black,yellow) and one for the shield?

Four pins. Remember these wires carry high voltage, I wouldn't want any potential source of sparks too close to fuel line/vent connections.

I did the same as you are planning. 4 pin connector and no issues.
