Last flight of 2019

Awesome!

Bucket list airport I will probably never get to check off.... Great video, thanks for sharing. Did you make a tube into the tail cone to put your skis in or do you rent? Where did you fly in from? How long a trip? Did you have to go through a checkout to be allowed to fly in there?

Wow! Flying your home built into an airport right at the base of a ski resort; that's a dream come true!

Amazing video!

This is a link with some photos and videos of my last flight of the year.

Happy new year to you all.

That's spectacular! I was in Courchevel last March skiing with my son and was often wondering about flying into this airport. Amazing. As I recall, it's around 6,500ft

I watched them de-wing and truck this plane away. Given the terrain, there is no option for a go-around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw7eBmi1Lt8

This smaller airport was on one of the adjacent mountains, Val-Thorens and was around 9,000 ft. It was cool to see this Jodel D140E Mousquetaire hombuilt there. Pretty sure these are wood construction.

Even though I had a lovely flight to Monterey CA with my wife on the last day of 2019, I am totally jealous.
