Loving my still new 7A. I picked up an IFD 540 a while back, and think it's time to install as I start to venture a bit further away. I am dumb, and had some help behind the panel so I need to relocate a couple things, but nothing too serious. On the "smart" side we did add the comm, nav, loc and GPS antennas and I am running the AFS ACM so hopefully something is easy.
I can't find my plans USB so looking for a part# for the alu with the large hole in the pic I stole from a fellow 7A builder. I need to dig through my parts bin
Also, was thinking of just using alu angle on the panel and at the back and attaching the tray to them directly as this the only radio I'll be installing and have room for. Is the above part really necessary? I know it would add some additional rigidity, but that doesn't seem to be a problem now without them.
