Garmin Q2 2006 Earnings Conference Call

Interesting read of the Transcript of Garmin's Q2 2006 Earnings Conference Call. It is a very long, but gives a little insight into their thinking. They seem to realize that the market for the G900X will be small but are expecting the G600 to be as large as the GNS-430/530 market. There were a lot of analyst questions on the 430/530 upgrade ?none on the 480. They report 60,000 430/530s in the field. A 2 for 1 stock split will be effective August 15th.

Ironically, one of the analysts on the call works for my company (but a different division), so I dropped him a note. He flys an A36 but has friends with RV-8s and HRs, and loves them. It is always interesting how aviation brings people together.
