I stopped by my local library last night to see what they had on aluminum corrosion and I came home empty handed. I'll try the college library to see what they have.

Anyone has some books or videos on aluminum corrosion?

I?m trying to understand the corrosion process a little better.

Check out http://www.actechbooks.com. They have a number of books and videos on corrosion and painting. I've bought http://www.actechbooks.com/aircraftsheetmetal.htm and http://www.actechbooks.com/paint_your_own_airplane.htm. They are pretty good. They don't go into excrutiating detail, but provide a reasonable coverage for an amature builder.

One of the best resources on corrosion control is online at EAA Chapter 1000's web site. Chapter 1000 is based at Edwards Airforce Base. Needless to say, they have some rather bright, well educated & experienced people in that chapter. See
