Expensive Demo Ride!

After waiting a week for my demo ride at Oshkosh, I finally got a chance to fly in Van's first RV-10 on Saturday morning. All I can say is: Wow, what an amazing plane, and the room in the cockpit is unbelievable!!! I'm 6'4" tall and weigh 250 lbs, and I was amazed at the amount of head room, shoulder room, and leg room in both rows of seats in the cockpit. Too cool!

I placed an order for the empennage kit the next morning. Now I understand why this is considered Van's most expensive demo ride.

I was impressed with the climb performance, nimble controls, low noise factor, visibility, and... ummm... did I mention the room? ;)

The only slight negatives I spotted were the hot tunnel (very noticeable against my bare left leg), and an apparently heavy left wing.

I understand the hot tunnel can be corrected with a bit of effort. I don't know about the heavy wing, though.

Any thoughts?
