Mitral valve replacement

Anyone here have any experience in getting your medical back after mitral valve replacement surgery? I regret to say that I just had this procedure as the culmination of a major medical crisis; end result is I'm alive (it was very close) but grounded, and just starting to look at if or when I might be able to get back in the air. All stories and advice welcomed!

Sorry to hear of your medical issues. I had my mitral valve REPAIRED last September.....received my medical back finally in July. Have to have a special issuance for I believe 8 years. Just got to show my AME a test from cardiologist and he can issue it.

Now in Canada......may be a different story. Hopefully you will not have great difficulty! Bon chance!
