ADI Pilot II Lighting ?

Just powered up my A/P and noticed the only lights are the leds. Does this have display lighting so the face can be seen at night or do you have to add your own? I do have a dimmer hooked up but it only controls the digits.

Pin 25 on the 25 pin D-sub controls instrument lighting. I have it connected to a dimmer; when cranked up the display lights, controlling the instrument light, not the digits. Note that it needs to a pulse-width modulation dimmer, not a simple potentiometer.
