Marker Beacon antenna

I'm using an Archer wingtip VOR antenna. The instructions say you can put a 40" conductor under the VOR antenna.

Can the 40" conductor be in a different wingtip all together? I don't see a reason it has to be under the VOR antenna. My wiring is all set up where it's easiest to put the marker beacon antenna in the other wingtip.

Thanks!

Its fine - they are unrelated.

Antenna

Hi Scott,
We have the VOR in one tip, marker in the other. We also placed connectors in the fuselage so the wings can be removed later, if necessary, without cutting the coax. I'd suggest putting the bent whip comm antenna outside, under the belly, for very clear communications. You'd never see any speed difference anyway.
