Planes of Fame Chino Flyin

Well if you can't get a flight it is worth the drive

There is a good size group of RV's based there. When I was building I went to Fla-Bob and Camarillo for their "shows" and walked amongst them and picked up ideas.

Also, at least when I lived in the area and went to Chino for the Planes of Fame show it was special. Steve Hinton was one of the pilots and the variety and quality of planes was unmatched anywhere I have been (never been to the CAF show however). Once in Battle Creek, Michigan during my junior high school days (late 40s) we went to the local show (Custer?) and the Air Force flew a three ship formation of B-29s over the field at 500 ft. But then there was that time in San Diego sitting on the bus on Pacific Highway right at the corner of Lindbergh field when a B-36 took off ... Oh well never mind.
