Hardware store compression fittings and the pitot/static lines

I recently removed my altimeter and noticed that those plastic compression sleeves that Van's supplies are cracked. Can I simply replace these with the brass compression sleeves located in the aircraft parts/ice maker section of Home Depot? If not, where can I get flight quality replacements? I'm not interested in changing my entire set up, I just need new compression sleeves.

The pitot and static system has extremely low pressure on it.
Pretty much anything will work.
