Dale Rupp

I don't think Dale Rupp ever hung out at VAF; I think he was more of a RV List kind of guy. He was an RV-6 builder and pilot. He also was the one who taught me the rules of a happy hangar -- No religion. No politics.

He also gave me the proper answer to give when someone asks "when will your plane be finished?"

He passed on this week. I've written about him here.

I enjoyed the write-up

Dale Rupp sounds like he was a well based guy. By the way I have similar problems with EAA Chapters and I continue to operate alone without the anxiety of trying to fit into an incompatible and meaningless organization. I can ignore religious and political zealots but there has to be some objective other than talking and eating.

who enrich our lives daily. It's great to talk with them, to learn from them, and to enjoy their vast store of knowledge.

I've never had the fortune to meet Dale, but, like so many others who have passed, guys like Dale will be missed.
