Paint without rear window installed

Anyone paint prior to installing the rear window?

I getting ready for paint on my RV-7 tip up. I would like to match the rollbar color to the upper fuselage color and thought it would be easiest to shoot them at the same time.

I painted all canopy parts and under side of the turtle deck before I put the rear plexi in. It worked great. I also used a silcone casket material suggested by Dan C. I haven't been in the rain but I believe it will make a good seal.
