Testing Pitot Tube?

I got a deal on a nice used AN5812 heated pitot tube. I have 30 day warranty, and I want to make sure it works. Obviously it's easy enough to test the "heating" portion, but does the "pitot" portion need tested? Or if it is not mangled and air passes through it is that sufficient? I'm thinking it just provides a ram air pressure point, and there really isn't any other mechanical "workings" to it?

I have a mechanical airspeed indicator that I might could use to test if there was a need for indicator (but obviously no completed airplane).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Just a tube...

Blow through it, and if it passes air and doesn't leak, I can't imagine that it won't work! When you test the heat portion, get ready for it to be REALLY hot!
