Negative on "Worldwide"

Shouldn't that be "worldwide"

I am currently researching this subject and what I found out so far is that 144 MHz is defined in some countries as air communicating band which requires special permission/licenses from appropriate Communication Commissions.

Nice device Greg!

Most countries grant licensed Amateur Radio operators the privilege of transmitting on the 2 meter band. US and Canada have standardized on 144.390 Mhz for APRS, many parts of Europe use 144.800. I believe Australia is 145.175.

I'm sure there are some exceptions, but 2 meters is a very common band worldwide. There are certainly large areas without existing APRS infrastructure in place, but regulations aren't prohibiting development.
