Elevator Root Rib - no holes

Mike Miller

I'm in the process of building the elevators. I noticed that the E-905 Root Ribs that were supplied with my kit do not include the match drilled holes to align with the WD-605 Elevator Horn. All of the drawings in my manual show the 6 holes (on the root rib) that would fasten the rib to the elevator horn. It just so happens that my part number is E905-1. Has anyone else had this experience? What was the fix?

Mike,

You do need to drill the elevator horn to the rib yourself using the horn as a guide on the -7.

I am not sure if the design is the same on the -10. Probably is, I guess?

Hope this helps!

Thanks John,

That's probably what I'll end up doing, I just thought it was odd that the plans clearly show the holes in the parts and say to cleco the rib to the mating parts and to final drill.

Thanks,

Mike
