Cheap Compass

I seem to remember seeing a picture of a cheap compass that Jay Pratt used to satisfy the requirement for a compass in the plane. Can someone re-point that out to me?

You can get a little spherical compass with a suction cup at Pep Boys or WalMart for about $1.99.

Per Gary Sobek's (DAR) response to a previous thread:

"Day VFR operation requires NOTHING in accordance with 91.205 unless the Operating Limitations say other wise."

Not necessarily advocating no compass, just clarifying that there is no absolute requirement for such equipment on an experimental.
