Where does magnetometer go?

Using GRT Horizon I with remote magnetometer in my RV9A.

Trying to figure out the best/easiest place to install the magnetometer.

About to close wings and thnk maybe 1/2 way out L wing might be good.

Also considering 2nd bulkhead back behind the baggage compartment up high.

Can anyone give me some good advice/experience as to where to put it and how to mount it?

I think the aft fuselage behind the baggage bulkhead is the easiest place to mount it. Here's a couple pics of how I mounted mine. This is the Dynon magnetometer but I'm sure the GRT is similar in size and mounting requirements.

Duane, I have a Dynon but the same issues apply. I chose to mount my unit at the second aft bulkhead.

This means no wing root connector is required, and my temperature probe (Dynon connects it to the magnetometer) can be under the HS.
