Total hours flown: 18
True A/S without gear leg fairings or wheel pants: 150kts
True A/S with gear leg fairings & wheel paints (no intersection fairings), 167kts.
As you can see a 17kt increase!

Configuration:
Lycoming carbureted 160 hp
C/S hartzell
7500 ft
75% power (throttle wide open, prop full fwd)

How nice it is to have a constant speed prop. I can pull the RPM back to 2300 at 7500' and put along at 157kts and burn 8.5/hr. (I need to firm this up but so far this is what it looks like).

I will be heading up to 10500 & 11500 to see what I can get for economy at these altitudes. I hope to see around 150kts and 7.5 gal/hr.

What a little rocket!

Great numbers! Sounds like you are enjoying that -9!

By chance, what is your stall speed both flaps up and down?

Have'n Fun

Well, from my initial stall work all I remember is it's about right on book, 41kts (47mph) sticks in my head. I'm pretty light with just me in it. I'll get some figures in a couple of days.

So far I've been told by the tower to slow it up so they can get one out before I land. (I've never been told to slow down before). And after landing the other day they told me to keep my speed up, a Lear Jet was waiting to take off. My point is, 167kts at 75% and stall speed like a Cessna 150!

Just haven fun!
