Tru Trak ADI Pilot II and SL30 ??

Hello,

I am currently installing a Tru Trak ADI Pilot II, autopilot. It will be connected to my Avmap AKP IV serial output, for GPS input. I have also installed a "AP source selector switch", which should be a switch to choose between GPS (from the Avmap) or NAV input (from the SL30), to run the auto pilot. But, in the Tru Trak documentation I can not find any information if the Tru Trak is able to follow the SL30 serial signal at all.

Anybody tried this? Anybody have any information?

Kind regards,

Tonny.

The TTADI Pilot does not have the interfaces to be driven by the Nav side of an SL30 or any other Nav radio. TT has a model that does but it is many more $$$.

Your switch will not work in this manner as the TTADI Pilot will not decode the RS232 serial data out of the SL30.

If you have something like a GRT, MGL or AFS efis, they can transfigure the data from the SL30 and spit this data out as GPS signals that the ADI Pilot can understand.

Here is a feature cross ref for the TT AP's
