Trio EZ-2- Audio Noise

With the EZ-2 alt hold engaged, I hear a tinny popping noise (very annoying) in the intercom (XComm) each time the alt is adjusted by the alt hold and visually see the corresponding movement of the stick with the noise. Any suggestions or those with similar experiences, tell me how you fixed the problem.
