Alternate Air Control Cable

Does anyone have any ideas for how to terminate the alternate air control cable. The plans call for it to be wrapped around the screw on the door. I'm having trouble getting this to be reliable. I know there has to be a better solution.

Plans worked for me.

This termination only serves to dislodge the gate and pull it open. Not a high cycle item. After determining the length, heat the wire and wrap it tightly around something like a properly sized drill bit mounted in a vise. The result will be an economical attachment. Simple and efficient.

Possible option

Hi

If it is where I'm thinking - you can't use a B nut. What we did was use the C/S screw with two #8 metal mini lock nuts

Just about visible, but it a) makes the diameter of the coil a bit bigger, b) provides a step on the top / bottom to locate.
