Guys i recently moved to Houston (used to live beaumont). and have recently gotten my private. I've caught the bug to build an f-1 rocket evo in the not to distant future and was just wanting to get in touch with the local RV crowd and maybe get a little experience around the plane under my belt. I am a 6 year veteran of the 147th fighter wing. and was a Crew Chief on the 16's out there. Anybody willing to take this young pup under there wing and get some free labor out of me hahahahah.

Welcome to town......

I'm on the Northside (Kingwood) and building an RV-10.

What part of town are you in?

Houston RV Builder's Group

There is a loose group of folks that try to meet every third Saturday, usually at a restaurant on or near one of the airports in the area, to encourage each other and swap stories and lies about building and flying RV's. The size grows and shrinks with the weather an other considerations, but I've seen as many as 20, and as few as 1 show up....The destinations are usually posted here, as well as the old Yahoo group that was set up years before these VAF forums existed. Take a look through the Yahoo group archives and you'll find lots of names of locals. Hope to see you around!

This weekend, the EAA 302 crowd is meeting at Conroe (CXO).

Conroe has a really strong RV community. I'll be there and it might be a good chance to meet some new people.
