Number of RV-10's flying

Van's Aircraft lists that there are 5 RV-10's flying as of 8 June 2005. Is this 5 customer built RV-10s or 3 customer built and 2 factory built RV-10s?

3 + 2 = 5

Three customer plus two factory RV-10's.

They count there the factory demo units. The number sat at 2 until the first customer built one flew last month, or was it in April.

I suspect we will see that number jump to seven soon.

3 + 2 = 5; 5 + 1 + 2 = 8

I did the Initial Airworthiness Inspection on one in California this evening. It is reported that there are TWO in Kansas that will have inspections this weekend. Looks like 5 could grow to 8 by Sunday night. If I could get out of work tomorrow, I would fly chase and get some photos / video.

Man, those -10's sure are coming on strong.

It blows me away that Van announces an aircraft and two years later he has two factory built planes and six customer built planes flying.
