Improving searching

Hey evil twin! Or is that "good twin"... Nevermind.

Can we improve the search capability of the forums a bit? I'd like to be able to use booleans in the search (this AND that, this NOT that, this NEAR that, etc).

Any chance we can get such an improvement? Does it involve me picking up the breakfast tab on Saturday?

Probably.

I've sched'd an upgrade to a newer version of the forum software that includes more search options for later this year. I suspect the search function will be more flexible/powerful at that point, TODR.

I'll research more, though.
