oil cooler mount??

Has anyone ever mounted the oil cooler at the rear of the cowl baffling on a 0-320? i have mine mounted there and now Im told I will not get the top cowl to clear. I think it is gonna be close but not touch. Maybe Im wrong. Any help?

Brian, not sure that I understand..

I mounted my oil cooler on the back side of my IO-320 engine baffle. No problems. Make sure that you mount it as low as possible and outboard so that it will clear the engine mount tubes.

Keep in mind that when the engine starts up and shutdowns that there is a whole lot of shaking going on.
