Well, just like they say it will eventually happen and it did.she took
to the air on thursday.RV guru Terry Birch took her uo for her first
flight.the NSI subaru ran a little warm at first (90 deg out or so) so
Lance at NSI welded a little extension on to the exhaust pipes and
problem solved.

After flying her for a while terry decided it was time to ring her
out and see what she could do.With a 5-10 mph 1/4 crosswind he was
able to get her off the ground in about 150 ft and climb at 65 mph at
1700 ft min and was at 1700 ft agl by the end of the runway (5000ft).
cruise and fuel burn seem very comp to a lyco around 8 gph
indicating 160-165 at cruise (4200) rpm.everybody at Arlington WA>
could not beleive the performance and how quiet she is many said she
sounds a little like a turbine in the air.

The 9 is a joy to fly.So on saturday with enough time on her to
ferry her home(10 hours on fri)I settled into the cockpit and flew her
the 325 miles back home to montana enjoying one of the greatest days
in my life!
