Lightning Aviation is an FAA Part 141 Flight School and we are looking for a Chief Instructor Pilot. Our primary mission is to train the U.S. Navy?s Introduction Flight Screening (IFS) students. We also do lots of civilian pilot training in a fleet of well-maintained Cessnas and Pipers. The Chief Instructor Pilot will fly and teach students while also as supervising a cadre of 8-10 CFIs. The Chief Pilot can expect to fly 600-1,000 hours in a year and help to manage a training program of over 400 students per year.
The Foley Municipal airport (5R4) is located minutes from the beautiful white-sand beaches of the Alabama and Florida gulf coast. This area has a very low cost of living compared to many other parts of the country.
