wiring the headphone and mic jacks

The cable that will run to each jack contains three wires, white, orange/white, and blue/white, plus the shield.

Is there a standard regarding which wire to use for a particular function? Obviously you can use any wire on any terminal of the jack, but I would like to do it in accordance with standard practice, if there is a standard practice, so as not to confuse someone later who may have to trouble shoot the system.

For instance, the stereo headphone jacks have a right and left connection. I expect the white is common, but don't know if I should use the white/ blue for the left or the right. A review of The Standard Aircraft Handbook brought no joy.

Thanks,

Tony

Not that I know of ...

I just soldered these this weekend. I received my harness from Stark and found that the mic leads for PLT and CP were both different. Just to make sure I confirmed that the pin callouts were correct and didn't trust the marked wires.
