There's a drain hole about mid fuse on my plane.
At some point in the past, something (I'm guessing battery juice) exited that hole and blew down the outside of the fuse. It left a trail of small defects in the exterior paint.
I have looked into the interior area that the drain hole is meant to drain.
The battery is just above it on a platform. The area looks OK. Not really corroded or anything. Just the same, I washed it all out and rinsed it thoroughly. Also checked the pH of the wash to see if it was acidic. Actually it was slightly alkaline before I washed and rinsed it out.

Now I need to address the paint issue. My AP say's it's OK for me to clean and touch the area up. My thought is to use scotch brite to remove the loose paint and brighten up the metal underneath. Then alodine over the exposed metal followed by self etching primer and paint.

Does this sound reasonable?
Where would I get alodine/primer/and matching white paint?

Thanks,
