As I ponder solutions to ADS-B compliant, the new GDL 84 looks promising.
Although a complete new panel would be very nice, my current one is serving
me just fine. I do not have a certified WAAS gps, but love my panel mounted
796. Currently with a GDL 39 I do receive ADS-B weather and traffic connected
via bluetooth to both the 796 and Garmin Pilot on my iPad mini.
The Garmin web site indicates the the GDL 84 will supply ADS-B in info
to the iPad via bluetooth. But will it do the same to my 796 via bluetooth?
