Hicks Runway Open
I think Jay was the first RV to land on the new runway. I was the first official takeoff when Jay and I departed for Northwest Regional so he could go bring Borrowed Horse back home!
Please use caution after dark as there are some taxiway lights inop on the new north end expanded runup area and the left threshold lights on 14 are inop.
There are still two NOTAMs active concerning Hicks, one for the partial lights inop and no standard markings. The runway will not be striped for six months. The only lines right now are the two displaced threshold lines.
It felt great to get in the air again after 26 days off!
