Instruments for night VFR in Canada

I have a question for fellow canadian pilots flying aircraft at night with an EFIS installed.

As per CAR 605.16 (1)(b) night VFR requires a turn and slip indicator or a turn coordinator.

I am going to install a GRT Mini-X with magnetometer in my panel to replace my vacuum driven attitude indicator and Direction Gyro.

Should I keep my turn coordinator to keep TC happy or is the turn coordinator function included in the Mini-X good enough.

I would prefer to removed it to save the 2 pounds and sell it.

Thanks.

Keep it, how else will know if your wings are level if you enter a cloud at night if the EFIS fails. TC might have the same opinion since they haven't really caught up with the glass panels yet.

I took my turn coordinator, AI/DG, and vacuum pump out when I installed my Dynon D10A. The D10A meets the minimum requirements, but I operate knowing that I have no backup system.
