Hi RV-fellow builders!

I live in Norway and am building a RV-7. I've have discovered a GREAT tool for bending soft metal.
It's a kind of a plier who makes EXACTLY 90 degree bends with PERFECT turnradius and EXACTLY where you want them to be!
It's IDEAL for the trimtab, the tabs on the left elevator and other parts where you need a bend.
The PERFECT trimtab can be done on FIVE MINUTES! (or maybe even less...)

Too good to be true? Not at all gentlemen! (and women!)

I've posted pics of the plier on the Matronics Forum RV-7 List today, however it'll take a few days until the pics are posted I think.

The pliar was found in a tinsmith shop (tinman).
It's an old tool but SUPERB for the job!
Since it'e here in Norway, it also must be possible to find in the US or other parts of the world. It's definetely worth a try!

I've also sent photos to Mr Bob Avery at Avery Tools, and maybe they'll start making the tool?

Happy building (and bending!) builders.

Best regards Alf Olav Frog

Pics of the bending tool

Hi all.

Thanks for the tip Doug!
Here's a few links to some pics of the pliar.
Hope it works! (I'm not so good with computers)

The rest of the pics will hopefully soon be at the Matrinoncs list.

The bending tool is found!

Hi again fellow builders!

I just got a reply from a US-builder who have found a similar bending tool to the one on my pics.

Here is the link:

If you look at the lower left of page 10 of this pdf file, there is a
"Single -Handed Edger". It looks just like the tool in my pictures.
