I modified a 320 cowl to fit a 360 once - lower snorkel area had to be enlarged to fit the FAB360 filter housing, about an inch deeper & an inch wider

If he uses an engine with forward facing fuel injection [ie IO-360-A1A, IO-360-M1B or similar] he can just cut that ugly snorkel off the lower cowl!

Pictured below is a 14 cowl on the left, & 6 cowl on the right that I cut off the original 'ugly' snorkel for a unique forward facing intake snorkel in a SDS EFI/EI installation, Note that I somewhat copied the rounded bulge shape below the spinner (similar to the 14 cowl), this made room for the custom snorkel.
